Often people use the term marijuana e liquid and marijuana vape oil interchangeably, but I am here to tell you that this is not entirely accurate. In fact, they are actually very different and here is why.
A Marijuana E Liquid Is A Lot Weaker Than A Marijuana Vape Oil
A marijuana e liquid is similar to any other e liquid in that it uses a base carrier mix of Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin. The ratio of which will determine the type of vaping experience you will have. Higher PG will give you more flavour but more of a kick at the back of the throat, whereas higher VG will give you a smoother vape on your throat and more plume or vape cloud. For a marijuana e liquid, marijuana extract will then have been dissolved into this mixture. For most marijuana e liquids, they are nicotine free, but some people decide to mix in a nicotine e liquid too.
A marijuana vape oil is not diluted down by this base mixture. It is simply marijuana extract and the natural terpenes that are selected for flavouring (these are usually from whichever strain the e liquid has been named after). As such marijuana vape oils are highly concentrated in comparison and so will be a lot stronger of a hit. This route is often preferable for people looking to vape marijuana for medicinal purposes who may not want to vape a PG / VG solution.
A Marijuana E Liquid Uses A Different Device To A Marijuana Vape Oil
Marijuana e liquids are much thinner than a marijuana vape oil. As such, you can use any traditional vaporiser you would use to vape an e liquid. A marijuana vape oil, on the other hand, needs a specific device: a marijuana vape pen. This is a pen-like device that has been made powerful enough to heat up thicker oils and extracts.
A Marijuana E Liquid In The Uk Is Different Than The Us
The regulation around cannabis in the UK is different to many states in the US. Over here, all cannabis products must be made using hemp and must contain little to trace amounts of THC (the compound that gets you high). This means if you see a marijuana e liquid over here it is most likely a CBD e liquid using an extract derived from hemp. This means they will not have the same effect on you when you vape (namely, you won’t get high).
